We’ve made a few changes to the layout of the store. Most of the changes were designed to open up the gaming area a bit more and to form consistent sections for comic related items and gaming items. Now, we certainly prefer you come and check out the new layout in person, but if for some reason you can’t, we’ve prepared this small “virtual” tour to give you a taste.
The first thing you see when you walk in the door is that we have moved new comics, comic supplies and discount graphic novels to the front of the store.
Directly adjacent to our new comics is our selection of Action figures. This consist mostly of comic book related figures, but we also occasionally stock game figures, movie and TV tie ins and other figures of interest.
Action figures are keen, but maybe you just want a mug or alarm clock or some other neat comic related paraphernalia – we’ve got that too!
And if you’ve been really good, you might want to treat yourself to something a bit more extravagant. We have all sorts of fine collectibles to show the world you’re serious about your passion.
Or if you just want something to read – a graphic novel, for example – we’ve got lots of those too. The trick here is not getting lost. Our graphic novels are divided into “DC Modern”, “DC Classic”< DC New 52”, “Marvel Modern”, “Marvel Classic”, “Movie and TV Tie-ins”, Independents” and a handful of authors such as Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, Alan Moore and Frank Miller.
Our gaming areas occupies that back corner of the store. Plenty of room for most tournaments and the tables are available for casual play any time there is nothing organized occupying them.
The main objective with the reorganization of the store was to group the gaming product together near the gaming tables. We carry a large selection of board games such as the excellent lines from Fantasy Flight and Rio Grande. We also keep a large stock of Games Workshop product.
Speaking of Games Workshop…whether you play Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, The Hobbit or any other miniature game system, we have a table available for in store play.
But at the end of the day, most people come to Ground Zero for the comics. Luckily we have lots and lots of comics. Who knows, you might not find what you came in for, but we’re betting that even if you don’t, you find something else.
