The current Coronavirus outbreak is changing the way everyone operates and Ground Zero is no exception.
First off, we are taking steps to ensure your safety here at the store to the best of our ability. Each morning we begin the day by vigorously disinfecting the tabletops, chair, doors and other surfaces you might come into contact with. Then, periodically throughout the day, we clean them again. And then we do it again. This is not meant to imply that any place will be 100% safe, but will be doing our part to minimize your exposure.
You will notice that we have actually reduced the number of tables and chairs within the store. We have always provided ample play area, with an abundance of extra spaces for people to play, but more chairs and tables means more areas to clean, and so this temporary reduction will help us maintain a safer environment.
Finally, there will be a small reduction in hours for the next few weeks here at the store. Beginning immediately the store will be closed on Monday, and close at 6PM on both Wednesday and Thursday. These are the lightest traffic times at the store and this reduction will allow us to spend extra time on the additional cleaning and maintenance. For now, the other hours will not be affected. However, this situation is obviously evolving rapidly, so there could be additional changes.
Remember everyone – don’t panic, be diligent and wash your hands! All of the local stores, Us, Geek World, the Castle and Game Crave will still depend upon your support, even during this upheaval. Each store appreciates your business and values your continued patronage more than you know.
